So "Dead Week" has officially come to an end.
It's technically the week before finals,
But a little less technically, the week of chaos.
My last week of first semester classes.
My last week to have actual classes with someone guiding me through the learning process.
My last chance to socialize without feeling guilty that I should be studying instead.
I've shot around a few ideas of why it's called "Dead Week."
Could be the fact that teachers aren't really giving new information.
Could be the fact that more teachers cancel class than any other time.
But really, I think it's the zombie-fied students wandering around wide-eyed hoping to get everything done in what little time is left, and relying more on caffeine than ever before.
Luckily, Student Activities in the Union have noticed this.
So last night, we had Eagle Insomnia. [Link in the title.]
In short, it was a party from 10pm to 2am.
But more than anything it was a refuge from studying and routine.
Live bands, free breakfast food, Oxygen bar, massage chairs, board games, movies, free shirts.
And you CAN'T go wrong with free food and shirts. :]
Now I'm pretty sure I'm ready for finals week.
Let's hope.
